Welcome to the Network, Cascais — Home of One of the Best Skateparks in Europe

We are thrilled to welcome the Municipality of Cascais to our growing network. If you've ever rolled through the Estoril coastline, you already know this place is special. If you haven't — you need to put it on your map.

A Municipality That Takes Skateboarding Seriously

Cascais is a municipality in the Lisbon District of Portugal, sitting on the Estoril Coast, with a total of 214,158 inhabitants spread across just 97.40 km². That's a population density that rivals many major European cities — and it comes packed with skate infrastructure that most cities ten times its size can only dream of.

Do the math: 9 skateparks for ~214,000 residents works out to roughly one skatepark per 23,800 people and one skatepark per 10.8 km². For context, that is an extraordinary ratio by any standard in Europe. This is not an accident. It is the result of a municipality that has consistently invested in urban sports infrastructure, and that commitment is exactly why we are proud to have them on board.

The Skateparks of Cascais

Parque das Gerações — The Crown Jewel

This is the one that puts Cascais on the world skate map. Inaugurated in 2013 following an investment of over €300,000 by the Municipality of Cascais, Parque das Gerações was designed by Francisco Lopez, a prominent figure in skatepark architecture in Portugal. In 2017, Parque das Gerações won the OP2017 community vote and the funds were used to build what many consider the best bowl in Portugal, constructed by Wasteland Skateparks. In 2025 Wasteland rebuilt the old bowl in the middle of the park finishing it off with stone coping and tiles and renovated the snakerun.

The park spans around 10,000 square metres and features an impressive array of ramps — a flowing snake run, two interconnected street plazas loaded with ledges, rails and banks, bowl with stone coping and the acclaimed pro-bowl. The sunset sessions with sea views are genuinely unforgettable, and the park draws skaters from around the world. It was also one of Gustavo Ribeiro's local parks before he turned pro.

Beyond skating, it functions as a social hub complete with a bar and hosts regular competitions and skate jams throughout the year.

Alcabideche Skatepark

Alcabiche skatepark, aka Bairro da Cruz Vermelha skatepark, is a simple, no-nonsense park with a skatelite miniramp, built in 2018. Good mini if you want to avoid weekend crowds in Parque das Gerações.

Parque Urbano do Outeiro da Vela Pumptrack

Located in Parque Urbano do Outeiro de Vela in Cascais you can find an asphalt bike and skateboard track, built in 2023 by Proride Portugal. The asphalt track is located next to a large dirt bike track. There is a nice bar/restaurant on spot to finish off your session with a drink and some tapas with sea view. A purpose-built pumptrack set within a green urban park. Perfect for building flow, training fundamentals, or just having fun at any age or skill level.

Torre Skatepark

Torre Skatepark, located in Cascais, Portugal, is a 600-square-meter skatelite skatepark situated next to the Grupo Dramático e Sportivo de Cascais sports complex. The park was last renovated in 2017 by the municipality of Cascais. The park features a variety of elements, including quarter pipes, jumpbox, ledge, handrail, and hubba, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced skaters. The skatepark is well-lit for nighttime use, which enhances its accessibility. Torre Skatepark is located in the Torre neighborhood, offering easy access via public transport and free parking. Its proximity to other major skate spots in the area makes it a popular destination for the local skateboarding community. In 2024 a miniramp was added next to the park.

Aldeia de Juso Skatepark

A dedicated miniramp in skatelite, giving the Aldeia de Juso community its own spot to hone transition skills. Miniramps are where so many skaters find their foundation — it's great to see this kind of neighbourhood-level investment. Located at Rua Chesol 544-590, within the Pinhal de Aldeia de Juso, this spot is a recently upgraded recreational gem in Cascais, inaugurated in 2024.

Murtal Skatepark

Another skatelite miniramp serving the Murtal area, built in 2024. Consistent, smooth, and ready to session.

Decathlon Skatepark

Accessible, centrally located and tied to one of the area's major retail hubs — a great entry point for new skaters picking up their first board and wanting somewhere to immediately put it to use. The skatepark in Alcabideche, Cascais (aka Decathlon Parque em Forma) was built in 2009 by Luis Paulo. The skatepark was designed for people who want to learn how to skate. Fun little park if you want something chill and want to escape the weekend crowds in PDG.

São Domingos de Rana

A dedicated skatelite miniramp serving the São Domingos de Rana community — another neighbourhood-level facility that shows Cascais isn't just building for the headline spots, but for everyone.

São Domingos de Rana Skatepark

A full skatelite skatepark complementing the miniramp in the same area, giving riders in São Domingos de Rana a complete local setup without needing to travel.

Come Skate Cascais

Nine skateparks. 214,000 residents. Ocean views. Sunset bowl sessions. A pro-level concrete park and a neighbourhood miniramp network that means no one in the municipality is ever far from a skate spot.

Welcome to the network, Cascais. It's well deserved.
