Parque das Gerações is one of Portugal’s most iconic skateparks, located in São João do Estoril overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The approximately 10,000 m² park combines two interconnected street plazas with ledges, rails, banks and stairs, a flowing snake run and multiple bowls, creating a huge variety of lines for different levels of skating. Its coastal setting and strong local skate community make it a destination in its own right.
The original park opened in 2013 after winning Cascais’ participatory budget and was designed by SkateLopez. The park was later expanded through another participatory-budget project, with the flow bowl constructed by Wasteland Skateparks in 2023. In 2025, Wasteland returned to completely rehabilitate the existing bowl and renovate the snake run, including a new layout and improvements to the connections between the different sections. The park is therefore a combination of the original 2013 design, the 2023 expansion and the 2025 renewal, when A|Park (the former Academia dos Patins) also added a miniramp.
After skating, you can follow the Atlantic promenade and explore the beaches around São João do Estoril, or head into Cascais to explore its historic centre, marina and waterfront.

One of the best skateparks I've seen in my life.
PDG is a lively skatepark with fantastic opening to the ocean. It has a good skateshop and cafétéria. Transitions are good although the layout of the skatepark can be largely improved.
