Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

Oosterhout, Netherlands – There is a new concrete beast in the South, and it is carving out a reputation as one of the smoothest builds in the region. After years of local skaters making do with aging metal ramps at Slotjesveld, the city has finally unveiled its crown jewel: the Lukwelpark Skatepark.

The new facility isn't just a collection of obstacles—it’s an integrated urban landscape. Tucked between Mgr. Frencken College and the Wilhelmina Canal, the park was born from a direct collaboration with the local scene.
With a price tag of approximately €420,000, the municipality didn't cut corners. They traded in their scattered, high-maintenance ramps for one massive, hand-finished concrete basin that prioritizes speed and technical lines.

Integrated into the park’s greenery with new LED lighting, the spot stays lit and sessions often run well into the evening.

This park marks a shift in Oosterhout’s urban sports strategy. By centralizing their budget into a high-quality "future-proof" hub, they’ve created a regional destination. Whether you're a local or just passing through North Brabant on a skate trip, Lukwelpark is now a mandatory stop.

Oosterhout doesn’t have a traditional "backpacker hostel" in the city center, but there are some solid budget options for those traveling with a board:
Gr8 Hotel Oosterhout: Super modern, reliable, and roughly a 10-minute skate/drive from the park.
Hotel Café ’t Zonneke: Right in the heart of Oosterhout. It’s got that classic Dutch "gezellig" vibe and is easy on the wallet.
