You’ll find the A dos Cunhados Skatepark—though most people just call it Póvoa de Penafirme—tucked away at Rua da Natária 64 inside the new Jardim da Póvoa. It officially opened its doors on June 5, 2025, after a €160,000 joint effort between the local councils and the EU to turn a hectare of empty land into something actually useful for the community. It’s a basic modular park using Skatelite in a back and forth setup.
Once you’re done, you’re only about 2.5 kilometers away from Praia da Vigia and Praia do Amanhã. It’s a quick five-minute drive to the coast, which is the move if you want to soak your legs in the Atlantic after skating.
