Ribamar Skatepark is a small, old-school concrete park in the village of Ribamar, near Lourinhã. The facility has a simple layout with basic street obstacles and a miniramp without a flat bottom, giving it a distinctly old-generation Portuguese skatepark feel.
The park is clearly much older than the modern wave of Portuguese concrete skateparks. Contemporary documentation confirms that it was already an established local facility well before the current generation of parks, although I haven't yet found a reliable municipal document giving its exact construction or opening year. Its ageing concrete, basic layout and worn surfaces suggest a park from the earlier era of Portuguese municipal skate facilities.
Today, Ribamar is showing its age, but that is also part of its character. This isn't a destination megapark or a polished competition facility — it's a small local relic that has survived while much of the skatepark landscape around it has changed. The nearby Atlantic coast and Praia de Valmitão also make it an interesting stop when exploring the region.
