ABOUT SKATEPARK

Lourinhã skatepark

Lourinhã Skatepark is a concrete park in the centre of Lourinhã, located close to the municipal sports facilities. The park has a varied layout with two smaller bowls flowing into a larger open bowl and street section, with banks, ledges, stairs, rails, a manual pad, funbox, spine, mini ramp and other obstacles. For a town of around 9,000 people, it is a surprisingly substantial local park and has long been a popular spot for skateboarders, BMX riders and inline skaters.

The skatepark was already in existence by February 2008, with photographs from that year showing the concrete park in its current location. It was therefore built no later than 2008, although I could not find a reliable source confirming the exact construction year or the original designer and builder. The Municipality of Lourinhã continues to list the Skate Parque da Lourinhã as part of its municipal sports infrastructure.

After skating, you can head to Praia da Areia Branca for surfing and a swim, or explore the Lourinhã Dinosaur Museum and discover the region's famous Jurassic fossils.

Let's be honest...it's time the city hall in Lourinhã improves the park a bit. Many skaters, nice location, and a rundown park. The skaters in Lourinhã deserve better.

Nice little skatepark park in the center of Lourinha with several options to eat and drink nearby. Good place to bring the kids.

Been here several times and it's one of the best parks in the area of Peniche. Cool place to meet some local skaters and nice vibe.
