Located in Parque da Cidade, beside the Lima River and close to the former bullring, Viana do Castelo Skatepark is a 500 m² modular skatepark built by A|Park (the former Academia dos Patins). The park has a strong street-oriented layout, with separate areas for beginners, intermediate riders and more advanced skaters. Its obstacle selection includes straight and down rails, inclines, straight and down curbs, a flatbar, gapped curbs and a wallride, allowing for a good variety of technical lines within a relatively compact footprint.
Its riverside location makes it one of the more attractive skatepark settings in northern Portugal, with the park surrounded by the green spaces of Parque da Cidade and the waterfront immediately nearby.
