Built by Wasteland Skateparks in 2023, Seia Skatepark is a compact concrete facility located on Avenida Primeiro de Maio, close to the municipal sports facilities and at the gateway to the Serra da Estrela region. Wasteland's project portfolio identifies Arquitectura Viva as the project designer.
The park combines a concrete bowl with a small street section, featuring a pyramid, benches and ledges, a round flat rail and a quarter pipe. Despite its relatively compact footprint, the combination of transition and street elements creates several different lines and gives the park considerably more variety than a simple bowl.
The new facility was already being documented as a newly completed skatepark in November 2023, with the contemporary report describing one bowl, three benches, a round flat rail, corner and quarter pipe.
Located in Seia at the foothills of Serra da Estrela, the park provides a modern permanent concrete facility for the local skate community and adds a dedicated action-sports space to the city's central sports area.
