Located in the centre of Gouveia, beside the Bombeiros Voluntários, this is one of the more distinctive modular skateparks in Portugal. The park is essentially built around a large miniramp with a spine, incorporating a series of extensions, transfers, hips, a soapbox, spine, lomba and several curbs. A | Park describes it as one of the largest and most complete miniramps in Portugal.
The skatepark was designed and built by A|Park (the former Academia dos Patins).
Rather than following the typical modular skatepark formula of separate quarterpipes, banks and funboxes, Gouveia's layout is centred around one substantial continuous ramp. The combination of spine, extensions and transfers gives experienced transition riders plenty of possibilities for linking lines and generating speed.
The park has become particularly notable among riders in Portugal's interior, with A | Park describing it as a unique destination for fans of this type of ramp. Its position in the centre of Gouveia also makes it an unusually accessible skatepark for a smaller inland town.
