Parque da Liberdade

Located on Rua de José Gomes Ferreira, within the expansive Parque da Liberdade, this spot represents the raw, grassroots heart of skateboarding in the Alentejo. Unlike the polished municipal builds found on the coast, the Castro Verde scene is defined by Rultabulo, a collaborative project between Colectivo Til, local skaters, and the Futurama Festival. It is a unique "skateable installation" that bridges the gap between public art and a functional street plaza. The spot is located in the northern expansion zone of the town, right next to the tennis courts and the municipal swimming pools. This is a "soul" spot. It’s the result of local skaters like Diogo Tomé and Ivan Silva fighting for a space to ride. The energy is incredibly welcoming, and there is a high level of respect for the DIY nature of the obstacles.

Transport & Accessibility

Car: Castro Verde is a major hub in the Baixo Alentejo, easily accessible via the A2 (Lisbon-Algarve) and the IP2. There is significant parking available near the Municipal Pools and the Camping Park, which flank the site.

Bus: The town is well-served by Rede Expressos, with the main terminal located within a 10-minute skate of the park.
