Built as part of the 2021–2023 redevelopment of Praça Padre António Pereira, Ourique Skatepark is a compact concrete facility located beside the local school and sports facilities in the centre of Ourique. The redevelopment completely renewed the existing skate area while also introducing new recreational and sporting facilities.
The current setup centres around a concrete miniramp with a spine, providing a compact transition-focused space for skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX riders. The municipality's sports regulations officially recognise the facility as the municipal Skate Park and permit skateboarding, inline skating and BMX/Freestyle.
The wider Praça Padre António Pereira project included the renovation of the children's playground and football area, construction of new tennis courts and the redevelopment of the skatepark. The renewed square was officially inaugurated on 25 July 2023 after an investment of approximately €350,000.
The exact specialist company responsible for constructing the skatepark has not been identified in the sources I could find.
