Mortágua Skatepark

Built between 2021 and 2022, Mortágua Skatepark forms part of the new Parque Radical created by the municipality to provide dedicated facilities for skateboarding, BMX and inline skating. Construction of the new skatepark was already underway in July 2021, representing an investment of around €50,000.

By June 2022, the municipality reported that the skatepark was practically complete, with the sports equipment installed, the surrounding fencing replaced and the finishing works underway. The municipal investment programme allocated funding specifically for the Skate Park during 2022.

The park is located near the Centro Educativo Dr. Afonso Abrantes and forms part of a wider sporting area developed by Mortágua. The project was long requested by local young people and was intended to create a dedicated space for wheeled sports in the town.

With its purpose-built layout and modern equipment, Mortágua Skatepark represents a significant upgrade to the local skateboarding infrastructure and provides a dedicated venue for skate, BMX and inline skating.

Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.
