Anadia skatepark

Located within the extensive Parque Urbano de Anadia, this local skatepark forms part of one of the town's main recreational areas. The 8.5-hectare park combines landscaped green space with a range of outdoor sporting and leisure facilities, making the skatepark part of a larger urban recreation complex.

Anadia Skatepark is older than many of the Portuguese parks built during the 2010s boom in skatepark construction. The Municipality of Anadia's revised PDM, using its 2014 inventory of sports facilities, already lists the Parque Urbano Anadia as containing a skatepark. This confirms that the facility was operational by 2014, although its original construction date has not yet been established.

The park has remained part of Anadia's recreational infrastructure over the years. In 2021, it was selected as one of the locations for the municipality's DEZA6 urban-art project, with artists Pedro Rolo, Ricardo Cruz and Ricardo Oliveira creating a large mural at the skatepark.

While relatively modest compared with Portugal's newer destination parks, Anadia Skatepark is an interesting example of an earlier municipal facility that has continued to serve local riders. Its exact construction date and original builder remain undocumented, but the municipal records establish that the park was already there by 2014.

Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.
