Built by A|Park (the former Academia dos Patins) in 2021, Marco de Canaveses Skatepark is a compact modular park located within the Parque de Lazer da Cidade, surrounded by trees and green space. The original park covers just over 200 m², with a combination of beginner and intermediate features designed primarily for skateboarding.
The layout includes a funbox, small curbs, manual pad, ledge, bank and flatbar, creating a straightforward back-and-forth setup in a relatively small footprint. Its position among the trees gives the park a particularly pleasant setting within the urban park.
The skatepark was created through the 2019 Orçamento Participativo Jovem, after a skatepark proposal received 68.6% of the votes. In 2024, the municipality expanded the facility with additional equipment and ramps, including a new mini half-pipe, increasing the space available for skateboarding.
