Penafiel's skatepark is a small concrete bowl located along Rua Dom António Ferreira Gomes, within the town's Parque Radical. The current facility is considerably different from the older modular skatepark that previously occupied the area. The old Penafiel skatepark was documented as early as 2021 and consisted of a halfpipe, funbox with rail, a large fat rail and a pyramid with quarters. The current facility is instead a simple concrete bowl, with a small flat area around the perimeter for basic street skating.
The wider Parque Radical de Penafiel is a municipal recreational area dedicated to action sports and includes landscaped areas and other leisure facilities. The exact construction date of the current concrete bowl and its builder have not yet been reliably documented online.
Great place to learn how to drop. Pool with slightly inclined ramps. Around the pool the floor is good to practice flat.
Sinceramente, numa cidade como Penafiel e no ponto geográfico que se encontra, sem dúvida a pior coisa que existe na redondeza… um buraco no chão sem qualquer flow, nem copinho, já me saltaram os trucks so de tentar um grind.
