The Igea Pumptrack (officially known as the Dyno Pumptrack Igea) is located at Calle Olivitas / Parque de Igea, 26525 Igea, La Rioja, Spain. Commissioned by the Ayuntamiento de Igea (Maître d'ouvrage) to boost local recreational sports and create a regional tourist attraction, the track was built by Basque specialist firm PoolSport Soluciones for approximately €35,000.
Inaugurated in June 2018 by Olympic mountain bike medalist Carlos Coloma, it holds historic significance as the very first asphalt pumptrack built in the La Rioja region. The ~140-linear-meter circuit features custom profiling, smooth banked curves, transfers, and a central painted dinosaur footprint (icnita) paying tribute to Igea's rich paleontological heritage.
Situated right next to the pumptrack is a massive tourist mural depicting the Baryonyx dinosaur. Igea sits in the heart of the Ruta de las Icnitas, home to world-renowned fossilized dinosaur trackways (such as the Yacimiento de La Era del Peladillo, one of the largest footprint sites in the world).
Just a short drive down the Linares River valley lie the dramatic archaeological ruins of Contrebia Leucade, an ancient Celtiberian hillfort town carved into rock cliffs dating back to the 3rd century BCE.
