Built by Wasteland Skateparks in 2024, Gondomar Skatepark is a distinctive covered concrete park located beneath the A43 viaduct in São Cosme. The approximately 1,300 m² facility forms part of the Parque Urbano de Ramalde, a major redevelopment that transformed a previously abandoned area into a large public sports and leisure complex.
Designed by Marcelo Lambiasi, the skatepark makes clever use of the existing topography and the enormous space beneath the viaduct. The layout combines a technical street section with stairs, rails, ledges and granite elements, alongside a medium-sized bowl for more fluid transition skating. The combination of granite, steel and concrete gives the park a distinctive architectural character.
The covered location is one of the park's biggest advantages, providing protection from rain while still allowing plenty of natural light. The facility also includes seating, drinking water, toilets and accessible routes, making it one of the most complete public skateboarding facilities in the region.
