Área 4800 is an indoor skatepark and creative space in Guimarães, developed by Wasteland Skateparks as a dedicated hub for skateboarding, lessons, workshops and urban culture. Wasteland's portfolio identifies the project specifically as Área 4800, Guimarães.
The indoor park features a compact wooden setup with quarter pipes, banks, ledges, rails, gaps and a mini ramp, providing a combination of street and transition obstacles. The sheltered environment makes it possible to skate throughout the year regardless of the weather.
More than just a skatepark, Área 4800 was created as a community space around skateboarding, with a skate school, workshops, cultural activities, exhibitions and social programmes. Its mission is to make skateboarding accessible to both beginners and experienced riders while connecting the sport with creativity and urban culture.
