Located on Rua Doutor Alberto de Sousa, close to the Polidesportivo Gonçalo Assunção, the São Brás de Alportel Skatepark is a compact local facility providing a dedicated space for skateboarding and other urban wheeled sports. The park forms part of the municipality's wider sports infrastructure and is situated close to the town centre.
The project was developed through a partnership between the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel and A|Park (the former Academia dos Patins). Construction was underway in April 2016, with the municipality announcing that the new skatepark would be completed by the end of May 2016. The project originated through São Brás de Alportel's Participatory Budget programme.
