ABOUT SKATEPARK

Loulé skatepark

Located within Parque Municipal de Loulé, the Loulé Skatepark is a large facility combining a dedicated street plaza with a flow bowl and transition section. The layout is built across several levels, making use of the natural slope of the site to create different heights and lines while integrating landscaped areas around the skating surfaces.

The park features 10 curbs, 5 rails, 11 ramps and 1 bowl, with separate areas designed for street and transition skating. The street plaza takes inspiration from urban environments, incorporating elements such as stairs, ledges, rails and banks, while the bowl provides flowing transition lines for skateboarders, BMX riders and inline skaters.

The skatepark was designed by architect and skater Francisco Lopez and built by SKATELOPEZ. SKATELOPEZ dates the project to 2014, while the completed Parque de Desportos Radicais was officially inaugurated on 25 April 2015.
