ABOUT SKATEPARK

Leiria skatepark

Leiria Skatepark, also known as Parque Radical de São Romão, is a large concrete skatepark in Leiria, Portugal. Originally opened in 2006, the park underwent a Located in Parque Radical de São Romão, this large concrete skatepark is one of Leiria's longest-standing skate facilities. The approximately 2,265 m² park combines street and transition elements, with bowls, banks, ramps, ledges and other obstacles creating a varied layout for skateboarding, BMX and inline skating.

The original Parque Radical de São Romão was inaugurated in 2006. After years of heavy use, the facility had become worn and its equipment was considered obsolete, leading to a major rehabilitation project. The renovation was designed by ArquitecturaViva and constructed by Wasteland Skateparks, with the project focused on improving safety and flow while preserving much of the existing structure. One of the distinctive new features is a brick-inspired ramp that gives the park a unique character.

The renovated park was inaugurated in 2023, following an investment of approximately €150,000 by the Municipality of Leiria.
