Betoordie is a community-built concrete DIY spot in Almada, created and maintained by local skaters. Rather than a conventional municipal skatepark, the spot has developed organically, with the crew continually adding, modifying and improving the terrain. The compact DIY features a good variety of obstacles, including curbs, manual pads, kickers, flat rails, ledges, banks, poles and a wallride, with the concrete construction giving the spot a raw, street-inspired character.
What makes Betoordie interesting is the community behind it. The spot is described as a well-run DIY project with an active crew that is constantly improving the park, making it less of a finished skatepark and more of an evolving local project.
