Almada Skatepark is a concrete park located inside Parque da Juventude, close to the tennis courts. The approximately 1,300 m² facility combines an open bowl with a street-plaza section featuring quarterpipes, banks, ledges, stairs, manual pads, rails, a wallride and a mini ramp. The park is designed for a wide range of riders and has become an important training spot for skateboarding in Portugal.
The original skatepark opened on 5 June 1993 and was known locally as Bruno's Skatepark. It was created after local skaters campaigned for a dedicated facility and became an important part of the development of Portuguese skateboarding. The park was extensively expanded and transformed in 2017 by Wasteland Skateparks. The municipality invested €160,000 in the project.
After skating, you can walk through the historic centre of Almada and visit the Cristo Rei viewpoint, or head down to Cacilhas for riverside views, seafood restaurants and the ferry across the Tagus to Lisbon.
Nice park with a good variety of obstacles. Mostly dirty around the park with loads of food and drink leftovers. That could definitely improve.
