Located on Avenida 24 de Junho in the coastal town of Altura, this skatepark has a much longer history than its current appearance suggests. The facility was already documented as a municipal half-pipe in 2007, measuring approximately 14 × 16 metres, making it one of the oldest known skate facilities in the Algarve. Its exact original construction date has not yet been established, but it was clearly in existence by 2007.
The original facility was later left in poor condition and, by 2013, local reports described the former half-pipe as part of an abandoned area in Altura. In 2026, the skatepark was rebuilt and requalified by A|Park (the former Academia dos Patins), transforming the ageing facility into a renewed skatepark for the local community.
The renewed park provides a compact combination of street and transition terrain and has helped restore skateboarding infrastructure to one of the Algarve's oldest skate locations. The Altura Skate Open was held at the renewed facility on 4 July 2026.
