Built by Wasteland Skateparks in 2025, Vila Real de Santo António Skatepark is a modern concrete facility located within the Complexo Desportivo Municipal, close to the municipal swimming pools. The park was developed to provide a dedicated facility for skateboarding, BMX and inline skating, replacing the temporary ramps previously used by the local community.
The park features a quarter pipe with extension, pyramid/funbox, inclined ledge, wallride, banks, curbs and flatbars, creating lines suitable for both beginners and more experienced riders. Wasteland's own project portfolio confirms the company as the builder.
Construction began following the laying of the foundation stone in August 2024, with the project progressing through early 2025. The completed skatepark was officially inaugurated on 12 August 2025, exactly one year after the first-stone ceremony.
The project represented an investment of approximately €93,000 and became an important new facility for the Eastern Algarve skate community.
