Built by Overlay Projects in 2025, Valença Skatepark is a modern concrete facility located on Avenida Sá Carneiro, beside the Centro Coordenador de Transportes and Campo da Feira. The park forms part of a new urban-sports complex that also includes an asphalt pumptrack.
The skatepark combines banks, quarter pipes, funboxes, ledges, flat rails and handrails, with concrete modules arranged to create different lines across the compact layout. The project was designed for skateboarding as well as BMX, inline skating and other urban sports.
The project was originally selected through Valença's Youth Participatory Budget and received funding through Norte 2030. Construction was underway during 2025, with the municipality confirming in April that the works were nearing completion.
The completed Skatepark and Pumptrack officially opened on 13 September 2025, attracting riders from both Portugal and neighbouring Galicia.
