Skipton Skatepark is located off Gargrave Road and Manville Lane inside Aireville Park, Skipton, BD23 1UD, United Kingdom. Set within North Yorkshire, the facility rests inside a prominent 20-acre public park near Craven College and the Craven Leisure Centre. The outdoor site is free to enter, un-gated, and accessible to the public 24/7 year-round. Skipton skatepark is a concrete street focused park with a nice variety of obstacles in a triangular setup.
The skatepark forms part of the wide-ranging outdoor facilities inside Aireville Park. Positioned directly next to the skate facility is a dedicated asphalt pumptrack. Additional surrounding park amenities include children's play areas, a multi-use games area, tennis courts, a disc golf course, pitch and putt, and open green space. On-site vehicle parking is available nearby at Craven Leisure Centre off Gargrave Road, and the park is well connected to local bus services and Skipton railway station.
The skatepark was officially opened in August 2015 after a £100,000 redevelopment project designed by Freestyle Skateparks, alongside a neighboring £41,000 pump track built around the same time. The build was made possible through local authority funding from Craven District Council working in partnership with the Friends of Aireville Park, Craven Youth Council, Yorventure, and the Veolia Environmental Trust.
