Ravine Skatepark is a modern, community-led concrete skatepark located on West Avenue in Filey, North Yorkshire, next to the town's multi-use games area and close to the seafront. The £360,000+ facility was developed following a campaign led by local young people, with the original project initiated by Filey Police and pupils from Filey School. The Ravine Skatepark Group was subsequently formed and worked with Filey Town Council and North Yorkshire Council to bring the project to life. Canvas Spaces Ltd was responsible for the consultation, design development, planning and construction of the park. The facility officially opened on 21 October 2023 and was designed to accommodate skateboards, BMX bikes, scooters, inline skates and WCMX, with accessibility and inclusivity incorporated into the design. The park features a varied selection of ramps and obstacles and was later equipped with energy-efficient floodlighting, allowing it to remain in use during darker winter evenings. Ravine Skatepark has become an important community sports facility for Filey and the surrounding area.
