Opened in 2023, the Casa das Artes Skatepark is an approximately 800 m² modular skatepark in Portimão, designed by Paulo Ribeiro. The park officially opened on 18 March 2023 following an investment of around €82,000 by the Municipality of Portimão.
The wooden street-focused layout combines a variety of obstacles including quarter pipes, banks, a funbox, manual pad, ledges, flat rail, handrail, stairs, kicker and pyramid. The arrangement provides lines for both skateboarding and BMX Freestyle, with the facility intended for recreational riding as well as learning and progression.
The project was designed by Paulo Ribeiro, who was the national coordinator of the Portuguese Skating Federation's technical skate committee. The park is managed in collaboration with local clubs including Clube Bicross de Portimão, Portimão Surf Clube and SK8500 Skate Clube de Portimão, helping make it an important hub for the local skate and BMX community.
