Located on Avenida Infante Dom Pedro 1, right beneath the towering medieval walls of the historic castle, the Penela Skatepark is a small but functional facility in the Coimbra district. Situated within the town's primary leisure zone, this spot offers a quiet session with one of the most unique "historic-meets-urban" backdrops in Portugal. The park is designed as a small, back-and-forth street setup. It focuses on the fundamental obstacles necessary for a session or for those just starting out.
The park is perfectly situated near the Parque das Águas Romanas, making it part of a larger family-friendly green zone that includes playgrounds and walking paths.
Car: Access is easy via the A13 or the IC3. There is dedicated parking available at the entrance of the sports complex.
Walking: If you are visiting the castle, the skatepark is just a short 5-minute walk down the hill.
