ABOUT SKATEPARK

Paine's Park skatepark

Paine's Park is Philadelphia's landmark public skatepark, acting as a high-performance "skate plaza" that bridges the gap between urban architecture and extreme sports. Opened in 2013, it was designed to replace the skating culture lost when the city's famous LOVE Park was closed to skaters. The park is a 5,500 m² (approx. 30,000 sq. ft.) mixed-use space that functions as both a professional-grade skatepark and a scenic public plaza. It features a "plaza-style" layout, meaning it mimics street skating environments rather than deep bowls. You’ll find a variety of rails, ledges, stairs, transitions, and benches.
