ABOUT SKATEPARK

Craigieburn skatepark

Craigieburn Skatepark is a concrete park at D.S. Aitken Reserve on Craigieburn Road, combining a large bowl with an open-flow street section. The layout includes pool-style coping, quarterpipes, banks, ledges, rails, stairs, a volcano, manual pads and other street obstacles, creating a good mix of transition and street lines. The park is part of the wider D.S. Aitken Reserve, which also includes AFL and cricket facilities, a playground and open space.

The skatepark was designed by Baseplate and constructed by GrindProjects. It was a redevelopment of the older Craigieburn Skate Bowl, which dated back to the late 1990s. The upgrade was funded through Hume City Council and Victoria's Growing Suburbs Fund, with construction planned from September 2020 to August 2021.

After skating, you can explore the trails and open spaces around D.S. Aitken Reserve, or head into central Craigieburn for cafés, shops and local food.
