The Canmore Youth Park, prominently located at the Recreation Centre (1900 8th Ave) in Canmore, Alberta, is a highly customized 12,000-square-foot facility. Consistent with the other landmark projects in your directory, this park was designed and constructed by New Line Skateparks and was officially completed in late summer 2009.
The layout features a versatile mix of skateable terrain and socializing spaces that were specifically tailored to local user interests. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, the park’s architecture pays direct homage to its alpine environment. The design integrates a number of unique, skateable sculptures and art pieces, alongside large boulders bordering the park that reference the town's signature mountain setting. By blending traditional street obstacles like rails and ledges with fast, flowing transition elements like a signature clover bowl, the Canmore Youth Park provides a highly scenic and dynamic recreational space for the entire community.
