The Burnham-on-Crouch pumptrack is located within Riverside Park, alongside the town's existing BMX and wheeled-sports facilities. The site historically had a BMX track, and local riders and volunteers campaigned for its improvement and conversion into a more modern pumptrack facility.
A 2018 proposal called for a redesigned track of at least 150 metres, incorporating rollers, doubles, switchback berms, rhythm sections, jumps and multiple lines for different abilities. The proposal specified a granular core, Type 1 sub-base and Dolomite riding surface, with tarmacadam berms and drainage infrastructure. The original BMX facility was constructed in 2007 through cooperation between a local user group, Friends of Riverside Park, Burnham Town Council and Maldon District Council. The pumptrack was built by Bendcrete.
