Hawkwell Skatepark, at Clements Hall Leisure Centre, is a brand-new concrete skatepark in Hawkwell, Essex. The park combines a street-inspired section with steel rails, ledges, flatground and a brick-textured quarter pipe before flowing into a hybrid bowl with blended banks, quarter pipes, extensions and a distinctive steel wallride. Rock and pool coping, a slappy kerb and bespoke steel elements give the park plenty of character.
The new skatepark was designed and built by Betongpark, who describe it as their third and final skatepark for Rochford District Council. Construction was awarded to Betongpark in March 2025, with the contract running through July 2025, and the completed £245,000 facility officially opened in January 2026.
After skating, you can explore the surrounding green spaces around Clements Hall, or head to nearby Hockley Woods for a walk through one of Essex's ancient woodland areas.
