Alter do Chão skatepark

Located on Rua da Paz (4-10), right near the municipal sports pavilion and the local school, the Alter do Chão Skatepark is an essential recreational spot in the heart of the Alentejo. Much like the town itself—famous for its Coudelaria (Stud Farm) and equestrian history—the skatepark is a quiet space that serves the local youth and visiting travelers exploring the Portalegre district. The park is a modular-style facility set on a large, smooth concrete slab.

Transport & Accessibility

Car: Located just off the N369 and N245. There is plenty of street parking available directly in front of the park and near the adjacent sports complex.

Bus: Regional buses from Portalegre and Elvas stop in the town center, followed by a short 5-minute skate to the sports zone.

Walking: The park is centrally located relative to the town's main residential area, making it very easy to find if you are exploring the historic center on foot.
