Alter do Chão skatepark

Built by A|Park (the former Academia dos Patins), Alter do Chão Skatepark is a medium-sized 540 m² modular skatepark located close to the town centre and cemetery. The park combines transition and street elements, including quarters, a miniramp, grindbox, manual pad, flatbars, bank and funbox, creating lines suitable for different levels of skating. The facility is one of the more substantial skateparks in the Portalegre region and provides a mixture of technical street obstacles and transition features within a relatively compact footprint.

The skatepark forms part of a wider municipal investment in Alter do Chão's public spaces and recreational infrastructure. Municipal documentation shows the “Valorização da Rotunda do Cavalo e Skatepark” project was being promoted by 2021.
