Vandergriff skatepark

The Vandergriff Skatepark, located within Vandergriff Park in Arlington, Texas, is a premier 22,000-square-foot facility that serves as a massive regional draw for the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This world-class park was designed and built by the partnership of New Line Skateparks and SPA Skateparks. It was developed to replace an older, outdated facility, providing the community with a modern, durable, and highly creative concrete landscape that officially opened in 2014.

The park’s design is noted for its "clover" style layout, which allows for a high degree of flow and circular movement between its various zones. The facility features a massive, multi-level bowl complex with varied depths and metal coping, catering to high-speed transition riders. This is complemented by an expansive street plaza that includes technical elements such as hubba ledges, flat rails, a "big three" stair set, and a variety of banks and manual pads. A unique architectural highlight is the integrated "volcano" feature and a series of signature "wave" transitions that allow riders to maintain momentum throughout the entire park footprint.

Beyond the riding surfaces, Vandergriff Skatepark was designed with significant attention to the spectator experience and environmental integration. The facility includes large shade structures, limestone block seating, and a comprehensive lighting system that extends the park’s usability into the evening. By blending high-performance terrain with comfortable community amenities, the park has become a mainstay for local contests and a daily gathering place for Arlington's diverse all-wheel community.
