Texas Webb Community Skatepark

The skatepark was designed and built as a key component of the City of Arlington’s Southeast Recreation Center (SERC) project. Located on a 12.8-acre site, the new facility will include a 39,000-square-foot recreation center, bringing long-awaited amenities and programming to Arlington’s Southeast community. The project was first identified in the 2004 Park, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan, with funding later secured through the 2014 bond program. In early 2019, City Council approved $22.2 million to move the project forward. SPA Skateparks was honored to be selected as the specialty skatepark construction subcontractor for the SERC project. Tasked with delivering a turnkey skatepark, SPA managed all aspects of construction, including fine grading, steel fabrication, reinforcement, concrete formwork, and all shotcrete and concrete placement. The result is a high-quality, purpose-built skatepark integrated into one of Arlington’s most impactful community developments.
