São João da Madeira Skatepark is a large skatepark located at Praça Barbezieux, covering more than 1,500 m². The park offers one of the more complete layouts in northern Portugal, with a dedicated beginner area and a wide range of obstacles including pyramids, step-ups, wallrides, spines, small and large quarters, inclines and funboxes.
The skatepark has a long history, with the original facility dating to 2004. It was subsequently reworked through several renovation phases, including a major refurbishment in 2009 and another integral renovation attributed to A|Park (the former Academia dos Patins) in 2017.
