Located in the Parque Urbano de Geão, close to the Biblioteca Municipal, the Santo Tirso Skatepark is a 1,200 m² concrete facility combining a large street section with flowing transition features. The layout offers a wide variety of lines, with a quarter pipe, rail and curb section with kink, spine, jump box, funbox, manual pad, banks, stairs, euro gap, inclined quarter pipe and a bowl.
The skatepark was designed by Francisco Lopez / SKATELOPEZ and built in 2017, forming part of the new Parque Urbano de Geão. Construction began in June 2017 and the park was officially inaugurated in September 2017 as the first dedicated skatepark in the municipality of Santo Tirso. The €200,000 municipal investment created a facility designed for skateboarding, BMX freestyle and inline skating, with capacity for approximately 90 riders at the same time.
The park is illuminated and has hosted national skateboarding competitions, becoming an important facility for riders from Santo Tirso and the surrounding Porto region.
