Saint-Jean-de-Luz Skatepark, also known as 162 Skatepark or Quiksilver 162 Skatepark, is a 1,200 m² concrete skatepark in the Jalday industrial area of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. The park was developed through a collaboration between the Lafitenia association, the City of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Quiksilver, and opened in 2013. It is located directly opposite the former Quiksilver/Boardriders headquarters at 162 Rue Belharra.
The park has a distinctive flowing layout combining a long snakerun with a street section. The snakerun occupies around 30% of the park and connects into a larger concrete riding area featuring granite ledges, rails, stairs, gaps, kickers and various transitions. The combination of flowing lines and technical street features makes the park suitable for a wide range of riding styles and ability levels.
The skatepark was designed by Hall04 and built by ZUT Skateparks. Construction was completed in April 2013, with the official inauguration taking place on 4 June 2013. The facility was conceived as a free public skatepark and quickly became one of the major skateboarding spots on the Basque Coast.
Today, the site is also home to 162 Skate School, which uses the park for lessons, camps and training. The facility remains accessible to the public and continues to serve as an important meeting point for the local skateboarding community.
