Located beside the fishing docks and the Marginal of Póvoa de Varzim, the Póvoa de Varzim Skatepark is a large concrete facility combining a technical street section with a flowing bowl. The park is integrated into a green leisure area and benefits from its position beside the water, with views towards the fishing harbour and lighthouse.
The street section features stairs, curbs, ledges, rails, manual pads, banks, gaps and other urban-inspired obstacles, offering lines for both beginners and experienced skaters. A distinctive skateable lighthouse feature references the park's maritime surroundings. The transition area consists of a flow bowl with different heights, hips and lines, allowing riders to gradually develop their skills.
The skatepark was designed and built by SKATELOPEZ in 2015 and was inaugurated towards the end of the year. The facility was designed to accommodate skateboarding, BMX, inline skating and competitions ranging from beginner to professional level. It has a natural seating area running along the length of the park and a capacity of approximately 100–150 riders.
