The Paradise Skatepark (often called Paradise DIY) is a legendary and somewhat "secret" spot located in the Chapadmalal area, south of Mar del Plata. It is an extraordinary example of urban reclamation, built on the ruins of an abandoned seaside resort called Rocío del Mar.
Located along Ruta Provincial 11 (near the Cruz del Sur beach and the Estafeta area), Paradise is more than a skatepark—it’s a piece of coastal history reclaimed by the community. Built within the remains of a failed 1990s aquatic complex, local skaters spent years clearing debris and pouring concrete to turn abandoned swimming pools and restaurant slabs into a world-class DIY spot. It is widely considered one of the most soul-satisfying places to skate in Argentina, perched directly above the Atlantic cliffs.
