The Ovar Halfpipe is an old-school concrete halfpipe located on Rua Manuel Pacheco Polónia. Built in 2002, it is one of the earliest surviving dedicated skate facilities in Ovar and forms part of the city's early skateboarding history.
The concrete structure is a straightforward vertical-style halfpipe, offering a simple but distinctive riding experience quite different from the larger street-oriented Ovar Skatepark located elsewhere in the city. Academic research into the history of Portuguese skateparks specifically identifies this facility as Ovar's concrete halfpipe from 2002, making it one of the city's two skate facilities established during the early 2000s.
