The W.J. Mouat Skatepark, located at 32215 Old Yale Road in Abbotsford, British Columbia, is a 13,000-square-foot facility that serves as a cornerstone of the Fraser Valley action sports scene. This project was designed by New Line Skateparks and constructed by Transition Construction in 2013. Situated within the larger W.J. Mouat Park and directly adjacent to W.J. Mouat Secondary School, the facility was engineered to handle high-volume use from both students and the broader regional community.
The centerpiece is a versatile transition zone featuring a large, multi-depth flow bowl. As the specialized build partner, Transition Construction utilized their expertise in high-velocity shotcrete and hand-troweled finishes to ensure a fast, quiet, and durable riding surface. The facility was built to endure the heavy rainfall and intense usage cycles typical of the Lower Mainland, utilizing high-strength concrete and heavy-duty steel edging.
The park is fully integrated into the W.J. Mouat Park master plan, positioned alongside disc golf courses, soccer fields, and nature trails. The site features professional-grade lighting for evening sessions.
