The Los Patos Skatepark, located in the town of Libertad within the Merlo district, is a premier outdoor facility situated inside the expansive Parque de la Unidad Nacional (formerly known as "Campo de los Patos"). Since its major renovation and the park's inauguration in late 2019, it has become a central hub for urban sports in the western suburbs of Buenos Aires.
Located at Bartolomé Mitre 2436, Los Patos Skatepark is part of a massive 5-hectare municipal park that has completely transformed the local recreational landscape. Designed by specialized architects in collaboration with professional skaters, this concrete facility is built to professional standards, making it a recurring host for the Copa Argentina de Skateboarding and various regional tournaments.
It is home to a free Municipal Skate School (for kids and teens aged 6–17), so the atmosphere during afternoons is educational and high-energy. The park features a top-tier LED lighting system, making it one of the best spots in the western zone for night sessions. Free and public. The broader park also offers amenities like a gymnasium, an amphitheater, and a free carousel, making it a great destination for a full-day trip.
