ABOUT SKATEPARK

Lloyd park skatepark

Lloyd Park Skatepark, also known as Walthamstow Skatepark, is a compact concrete skatepark located in Lloyd Park, Walthamstow, London. The current skatepark was designed and built by Gravity Skateparks and opened in September 2012 as part of the wider regeneration of Lloyd Park.

The approximately 480 m² park has a predominantly street-oriented layout centred around a pyramid bank. Features include a mini ramp with extensions, micro mini, quarterpipes, banks, ledges, manual pads, a three-stair set, hubba, handrail and flat rail. The compact arrangement allows riders to connect several of the obstacles, although the limited space can make maintaining speed challenging.

The skatepark forms part of the facilities within the historic Lloyd Park, which underwent a major restoration between 2011 and 2012. The regenerated park added a new skatepark alongside improved play and sports facilities.

The relatively mellow layout makes Lloyd Park particularly suitable for beginners and casual sessions, while the combination of street obstacles and the miniramp provides enough variety for more experienced local riders.
