The Isaac Riehl Memorial Skatepark, located in Marlene Stewart Streit Park near downtown Fonthill in Pelham, Ontario, is a multi-award-winning facility and a recipient of the Parks and Recreation Ontario Award of Excellence in Design. Designed and constructed by New Line Skateparks, the project was a deeply collaborative effort involving the Town, the local skatepark committee, and the family and friends of Isaac Riehl.
The 9,000-square-foot park is intelligently divided into three primary zones: a technical down-ramp ledge and rail section, a flat-ground area for flip tricks and grinds, and a transition-focused mini-ramp and ditch run ranging from 3.5 to 4.5 feet deep. The layout is seamlessly connected by a 4-foot high hip ramp, a versatile box ledge, and a curved transition ramp that doubles as the project's primary signage element. Beyond its technical merits, the park is defined by its heart; signature memorial features include the "Comfort Maple" tree trunk volcano, a dedicated memorial tree, and a custom ledge engraved with inspiring words and phrases composed in Isaac’s memory to uplift every youth who visits the park.
