Located at the Campo de Jogos da Rua Professor Mota Pinto, Cantanhede Skatepark is an older concrete facility serving skateboarders, BMX riders and inline skaters. This is definitely an older park. The Municipality of Cantanhede's sports-facilities inventory already documented the Skatepark do Bairro Charles-Gide in the town in the mid-2000s. Most importantly, the photograph included in that municipal inventory is dated 14 February 2006, proving the skatepark existed by that date. The same inventory describes it as a concrete outdoor facility owned and managed by the municipality, although it does not provide a construction year.
The park therefore belongs to the early generation of Portuguese municipal skateparks, predating the large wave of newer concrete parks that appeared during the 2010s. Its simple concrete construction and compact layout reflect that period of skatepark development.
I haven't found reliable evidence identifying the original builder or giving the exact opening year, so I would not assign an unsupported date. For the database, the safest historical record is built before 2006.
