The Stoops wheeled sports area was developed to provide the Hargher Clough community in Burnley with a high-quality space for active engagement. Clark & Kent Contractors were awarded the project following a competitive tender process that prioritized construction quality, cost-efficiency, and user consultation.
The facility is the result of years of dedicated fundraising and serves as a central hub for local youth. Given the unusual footprint of the site, the design phase required a bespoke approach. Clark & Kent worked alongside local police, social support groups, and the Stoops & Hargher Clough Youth and Community Centre to ensure the park was both functional and safe.
